About CvCy

We build technology to reveal the potential of African talent

CvCy is an African technology company building solutions to improve access to professional opportunities, modernize hiring, and increase the visibility of talent.

We started from a simple observation: Africa isn't short on skills. What it lacks is the right infrastructure to identify, showcase, and connect those skills to the right opportunities.

Our mission is to build that infrastructure.

Our story

CvCy was born from observing two realities that coexist in the African job market.

On one side, millions of talented people have the skills, experience, and ambition needed to contribute to local and international companies.

On the other, many organizations still struggle to find, evaluate, and hire the right people.

In between, existing tools are often fragmented, expensive, complex, or built for very different contexts.

Candidates use multiple platforms to build their resume, search for jobs, grow their network, and track their applications. Companies, meanwhile, sometimes manage hiring through emails, spreadsheets, messages, and manual processes that are hard to coordinate.

CvCy was created to reduce this fragmentation.

Our ambition is to offer a coherent, simple professional infrastructure, designed around the realities of the African continent.

Our belief

African talent is everywhere.

It's found in universities, companies, professional communities, training centers, startups, government bodies, and independent work.

It's present in Dakar, Abidjan, Lomé, Cotonou, Lagos, Accra, Nairobi, Kigali, Casablanca, Tunis, and many other cities.

This talent has diverse backgrounds, strong skills, and a high capacity to adapt.

Yet their potential often remains insufficiently visible.

A poorly presented background can be undervalued.
A poorly documented skill can stay invisible.
A poorly structured hiring process can rule out a good candidate.
A lack of network can limit access to an opportunity.

We believe technology can reduce these barriers, provided it is designed with a real understanding of users, markets, and local practices.

Our mission

Our mission is to make professional journeys more visible, opportunities more accessible, and hiring more effective.

We build technology that helps to:

  • better present skills and experience
  • make access to professional opportunities easier
  • structure hiring processes
  • connect talent, companies, and communities
  • improve decision quality through data
  • make professional tools simpler and more accessible

Every product CvCy builds serves this shared mission.

Our vision

We want to become one of the leading technology infrastructures of the African job market.

An infrastructure capable of supporting talent and companies throughout their evolution. Our vision is a professional environment where:

  • every talent can clearly present their value
  • every skill can be discovered
  • every company can access qualified profiles
  • every recruiter can make better-informed decisions
  • every professional can build useful relationships
  • every opportunity can reach the most relevant people

We want to help build a more connected, transparent, and efficient African job market.

What we're building

CvCy is developing an ecosystem of professional technologies around three essential needs:

Preparation

Helping talent better structure their background, present their skills, and prepare for professional opportunities.

Visibility

Letting professionals make their experience, achievements, and projects more accessible.

Connection

Making it easier for talent, companies, recruiters, investors, partners, and communities to meet.

These three dimensions form the foundation of our approach.

We don't just build software. We build bridges between skills and opportunities.

Our approach

Designing around local realities

We develop our solutions with the practices, constraints, and usage patterns specific to African markets in mind.

This includes:

  • non-linear career paths
  • the diversity of training and certifications
  • hiring conducted across multiple channels
  • the budgets of small and medium-sized businesses
  • mobility between countries
  • linguistic diversity
  • the central role of mobile
  • differences between local markets

Our goal is not to replicate products built elsewhere.

We want to build tools that work effectively in the environments where they're actually used.

Simplifying complex processes

Technology should make work easier, not more complicated.

We design clear interfaces and accessible journeys, even for users who aren't experts in digital tools.

Every feature must address a concrete need and deliver an understandable benefit.

Using artificial intelligence usefully

We use artificial intelligence to support decisions, automate certain tasks, and improve the user experience.

It can help analyze a background, structure information, identify matches, or produce recommendations.

That said, we believe technology must remain explainable, and important decisions must always retain a human dimension.

Building for multiple markets

Africa is not a single market.

Each country has its own economic, cultural, administrative, and professional realities.

Our ambition is therefore to build a flexible infrastructure, able to progressively adapt to multiple languages, currencies, sectors, and local practices.

He oversees platform design, technical architecture, artificial intelligence, and user experience.

His goal is to turn complex professional problems into simple, accessible products suited to African realities.

Before CvCy, he led Studio Y, a studio specialized in designing digital products for African companies and organizations.

CvCy was born from that drive to build African tech products able to meet local needs while meeting international standards.

Our principles

Usefulness

Every product must solve a real problem. We avoid unnecessary features and favor tools that deliver direct value to users.

Accessibility

Our solutions must remain easy to understand, simple to use, and suited to the economic realities of our markets.

Transparency

Users should understand how their data is used and how recommendations are produced.

Privacy

Protecting personal and professional data is a core responsibility in how we design our platforms.

Inclusion

We want to design systems able to recognize diverse backgrounds and reduce the biases that limit access to opportunities.

Rigor

Being an African company doesn't mean accepting lower standards. We want to build products that are reliable, high-performing, and competitive internationally.

Our impact

We measure our success through the concrete results our users achieve. This includes:

  • talent presenting their background more effectively
  • professionals accessing new opportunities
  • companies reducing their hiring times
  • recruiters making better decisions
  • communities creating more connections
  • organizations modernizing their processes

In the long run, we want to help skills flow better between cities, sectors, and countries.

A pan-African ambition

CvCy is built to grow with the continent.

Our goal is to progressively grow our presence across multiple African markets, working with local players who understand their environment.

We work with companies, recruiters, schools, universities, HR firms, associations, incubators, communities, and institutions.

This approach lets us adapt our technology to the real needs of each market.

Our pan-African ambition rests on a strong conviction: solutions meant to transform the African job market must be built with the continent's own talent, companies, and communities.

Building the future of work in Africa

The world of work is changing fast.

Jobs are evolving, skills are becoming more specialized, and companies are increasingly hiring across borders.

In this new environment, visibility, data, and the quality of connections become essential.

Africa needs to be able to rely on its own professional infrastructure to support this shift.

CvCy wants to help build that infrastructure.

Our role is to build technology able to reveal talent, support decisions, and bring the right people closer to the right opportunities.
